AFyo was founded in 2022 by three passionate individuals: Kennedy Mhango, Darwrins Mkandawire, and Tughulupi Mbale (née Gondwe), who shared a common vision of making a lasting impact on the lives of young people in our community. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea—to create a platform that would address the socio-economic challenges faced by youth, especially those affected by poverty, while nurturing their spiritual growth.

As AFyo, we believe that empowering the youth goes beyond providing education and resources. We are committed to equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our efforts focus on creating sustainable initiatives that provide vocational training, affordable education, and leadership development, with a particular emphasis on supporting girls and young women, who often face additional barriers to success.

We understand that education is a key pillar for development, and our projects are designed to tackle critical issues . And through our school uniform initiative, we aim to ensure that no child is left behind due to the inability to afford basic necessities.

However, our mission goes beyond the physical and material needs. We live in a time of great uncertainty, and we firmly believe that a close relationship with God is essential to navigating life’s challenges. At AFyo, we strive to empower youth spiritually, offering guidance and support to help them build a strong foundation of faith. In a world that often feels dark and chaotic, we encourage young people to seek strength and wisdom through their connection with God, knowing that this relationship is key to achieving their full potential and leading lives of purpose.

Our goal is not just to uplift individuals but to foster a community that is resilient, compassionate, and driven by values rooted in faith and service. Together, we are building a brighter future, one step at a time.
